Market day

We're here for a week now. We've seen so many things that we want to share that we don't even know where to start... and the pictures, so many of many different things. Everything is new to us in the sense that we had never or almost never experienced them in our previous daily lives. To make it easier for me I'll share with you what we've done today. We went to the market. Pasar Anyar. [Pasar, market.] It's seems quite a banal activity but for us it was quite exciting. It's enormous and such a variety of products. So many different vegetables and fruits. There are a lot of vendors, of fruits, vegetables, meat (dead or alive), fish, ingredients for Jamu. We went with our hosts, I don't see how we could have gone without them since we are newbies here. It wouldn't be impossible but surely not as easy. Knowing the language, bahasa Indonesia, is essential. We bought vegetables and tempeh, which is here prepared in many delicious ways. We also bought a mosquito net, definitely a must around here and then we went back home to refresh! It's very hot!

Sampai nanti to all our dear followers!
