Daytrip in the countryside

This week we rode out of the city into the countryside. Much more vegetation, rice fields, little villages along the road, smiling people as usual, no smog, a fresh breeze, yep... that's the countryside, wherever you are! Unfortunately, we didn't stop much, so the photos were taken on the go. We went up a hill from where we could see Mount Salak. A mountain who's name is after a fruit whose skin looks like snake skin...sssss. We tasted it already but I'm not particularly fan of it. The mountain is one of the many volcanoes in Indonesia and its last eruption was in '35. It is said to be visited specially by lovers of nature for its trails. We shall go there. On the way back home we bought kangkung (water spinach) directly from the producer which were then deliciously prepared by our host Harsi. Hope you enjoy. Sampai nanti!
